We've added two user-requested options to account settings.
First, under account settings, you can now turn on vacation mode. This is useful if you will be away from your Email for a few weeks or months. It will disable private mail notifications, person watch and subscribed topics. It will also hide the link to send you Email.
In your user profile, you can now hide your profile from public view. This is in response to profile information being made public for Google searches. If you hide your profile, most fields will not be shown to those not logged in. Some fields like messenger addresses and your Skype name are never shown to people not logged in.
